A dental bridge is made up of one or more replacement teeth with a dental crown attached on either side. The dental crowns are bonded to the teeth on either side of the gap.

Our dentist will first take molds of the teeth, from which a dental bridge is designed. Once the dental bridge is ready, the fit is checked and it is bonded permanently into place.

If a dental bridge is well cared for, it can last for up to 10 years or even longer. Tooth decay is a big threat to the health of a dental bridge. Food can become lodged under the false tooth or between the tooth. If decay occurs, the teeth that support the bridge can become weakened.

Caring for Your Dental Bridge
There are several things that can be done to care for a dental bridge. A patient with a bridge should brush twice a day and floss once daily. They should also be sure to come in for their scheduled routine dental appointments.
